If you are planning to store your RV through a full off-season, some preparation before it goes in will save you time and money when you are ready to hit the road again. Drain and winterize the water system if temperatures will drop below freezing. Add fuel stabilizer and run the engine and generator long enough for treated fuel to circulate through the system. Disconnect or actively maintain the house batteries, and inspect the roof sealant around vents and the air conditioning unit for any cracks or separations that could allow water to get in while the rig sits.

For RVs, clean the interior thoroughly, remove all food from cabinets and the refrigerator, and place moisture absorbers inside the cabin and storage compartments to prevent mildew from building up during a long period off the road.
