• What are the most important considerations when looking at storage space?

Depending on what you are storing, climate controlled space will reduce the opportunity for mildew and other humidity related problems. You should also make sure that each unit is individually alarmed, there is 24 hour video surveillance, and pin code access from the gate to your unit. This will reduce the chance of break-in and loss of valuables.

• What happens if there is a fire?

At Apple, our facilities have state-of-the-art sprinkler systems installed as well as onsite extinguishers. Should there be a fire; sprinklers will be activated only in the vicinity of the incident, preventing water damage to other units.

• What is the security deposit for?

A security deposit insures that the storage unit will be returned in the same condition as when it was rented, and is fully refundable upon move-out if the unit is clean and not damaged. Your storage neighbour has the same security deposit, which means there is more care taken to the entire storage facility.

Apple offers a deluxe package, which is ideal for business use.  We have mailboxes for both personal use or for creating a small business identity by offering a suite number as well as an onsite packing supply retail store.

• Why should I rent from a member of the Self Storage Association?

The Self Storage Association is a group of companies that share information, develop standards, and work to create better space for rent. Through industry discussions, members are able to offer better service to their customers. If a storage facility is not a member of the SSA, they are not held to the same ethical standards and further research should be done before storing valuables.
